1.  

What fact-finding techniques would you use for investigating the information requirements
of a large hotel to improve the marketing of seminars and conferences? Which do you think will be most effective? What problems do you anticipate in conducting this investigation?

2.   Discuss the features and relative merits of system flowcharts, decision tables and
decision trees. Which do you find easiest to draw and understand?
3.   Distinguish between transaction processing systems, management information systems,
decision support systems and office automation systems. Illustrate their characteristics with focus on a large financial enterprise such as a Bank.
4.   Describe the importance and characteristics of a good documentation in systems 
development process. What elements should be included in a good documentation package?
5.   Enumerate the factors that are important to the quality of a software system. Illustrate their relative significance in a qualitative manner with some examples.
6.   Write brief notes on any five of the following:

(c) Legal feasibility of a systems project
(d) Data dictionaries
